About us

B.E.S.T.’s administrative office is located on the “backstretch” of Belmont Park in Elmont, New York. This office acts as the hub for all services year round for backstretch workers of the Aqueduct and Belmont Race Tracks.

B.E.S.T.delivers a full panoply of services for backstretch workers on the Saratoga Racetrack in Saratoga Springs, New York, from April until November every year.

B.E.S.T.is a 501C-3 non-profit which operates under a Board of Directors who are distinguished leaders in the horse racing industry as well as in business and academia and are dedicated to improving the lives of thousands of backstretch workers of New York.

B.E.S.T.’s staff have been carefully chosen for their dedication to meeting the needs of some of America’s most industrious workers; the “hot walkers, grooms, exercise riders, night watchmen” and “assistant trainers” of Aqueduct, Belmont and Saratoga Race Tracks, B.E.S.T.has over 125 volunteers.
